TheJapanesehaveawordforthekindofmasterythattakesalifetimetodevelop:takumi(匠).Itisthespiritourstudioisnamedfor,andthespiritoftheworkshopwhereeverypieceismade—wherestonesareshapedslowly,byhandsthathavedonethisworkfordecades,inatraditionolderstill.Whatarrivesisnotassembled.Itisfinished.

Most water features today are either mass-produced cast stone or high-cost custom installations that demand months of plumbing, drainage, and electrical work. Takumi is the first to bring a fully closed-loop water feature into a natural stone form — designed in our studio, hand-finished by shokunin, ready to place and plug in.

Stone

Every Takumi piece begins with a single stone, hand-selected from quarries across Japan. Its outer form is preserved — the irregularity, weight, and patina that only time can produce. Inside, the shokunin shapes the reservoir, cuts the vessel seat, and refines the water path by hand.

The metal vessel is our signature — a precision-engineered form that channels water out of the stone, traces a designed path, and returns it to a sealed reservoir within. The first solution to bring a fully closed-loop water feature into a natural stone form.

DESIGNED IN-HOUSE

Engineering

A precision pump and integrated filtration circulate water silently for years. The system is sealed within the stone, hidden from view, serviceable when needed. All you need is a level surface and a power outlet.
